Danny Byrd has been one of Hospital Records' most enduring artists, a Bath based producer whose work is built on old school rave energy filtered through modern production. Albums including Supersized, Rave Digger and Golden Ticket carry an unabashed love of the hardcore and jungle era, full of piano stabs, breakbeat and vocal hooks. "Ill Behaviour" became one of the label's defining singles, a record that captured the moment drum and bass rediscovered how much fun it could be. His sets follow the same instinct, favouring high energy and big moments over technical showmanship. Two decades into his career he remains a Hospital mainstay and a regular on the Hospitality event series. Danny Byrd is the producer who keeps the rave in drum and bass.
