Genres: Jungle, Drum & Bass, Bassline, Breakbeat, UK Garage

London's Deekline came up DJing drum and bass on pirate radio, playing Don FM with MC Hyperactive and later running the Flex FM station until 2002. In 1999 he put out I Don't Smoke on his own Rat Records, a bass heavy breakbeat cut that climbed to number 11 in the UK singles chart and helped shape the sound that came to be called breakstep. Since then he has moved freely between breaks, UK garage, bassline and drum and bass, with Wizard and Ed Solo as his most regular studio partners. In 2009 he and Ed Solo launched Jungle Cakes as an offshoot of their Hot Cakes imprint, and it grew into one of the best selling jungle labels around, clearing Dawn Penn's No No No for a ragga jungle makeover and running the Welcome To The Jungle compilation series. Under the Jungle Cakes banner his selections lean on rolling ragga basslines, chopped breaks and reggae vocals, and he is frequently on the same bill as Ed Solo.

Deekline has 7 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
