Dj Escape
Genres: Jungle, Drum & Bass
Birmingham jungle stalwart DJ Escape made his first mark on the city's scene around 1995, returning to the decks after a break. He started out alongside DJ Hazard and joined Hazard's weekly show on Unity FM, but that station was dominated by ragga, so he went looking for pirates that would carry jungle and found his way to Kool FM Midlands. Promotion has been as big a part of his story as playing. He co-promotes the Broken Minds nights in Birmingham, owns the Muzik Hertz Recordings label, and has been a vocal backer of the growing drum and bass scene in Shropshire. His sets draw on old school jungle and classic drum and bass, played by someone who was spinning those records when they were new.
Dj Escape has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
