Genres: UK Garage
DJ EZ is Otis Roberts, born in Tottenham, north London, in 1975, and one of UK garage's earliest and most influential DJs. He started on the pirate station Dance 93FM as Easy O before a run on Kiss FM from 2000 to 2014. He mixed the Pure Garage compilation series, which sold over two million copies, as well as Ministry of Sound's The Essential Garage Collection (2009) and FabricLive.71 (2013). His 2012 Boiler Room set is widely cited as one of the great garage sets, and in February 2016 he streamed a non-stop 24-hour set that raised over 60,000 pounds for Cancer Research UK. He launched Nuvolve Records in 2020 and is known for fast, heavily cut three-deck mixing.
