DJ KANE.
Genres: Drum & Bass, Jungle
Few London selectors have been on the jungle circuit as long as DJ Kane, who was drawn in by acid house tapes and pirate radio and got his first rave bookings with Electribe. He is credited as a co-founder of Renegade Hardware, played regularly at The End, and has been linked over the years with Undiluted, No U-Turn and Congo Natty, with Trouble On Vinyl dubs a feature of his recent sets. He has broadcast on Kool FM for more than 25 years and hosts its weekly Tuesday drive time show. MCs who have worked alongside him include Skibba, Funsta, Evil, Stormin, Shabba and Riddla. During lockdown he remixed Desmond Dekker's Israelites for Trojan and Jungle Cakes. His own description of his style is fast and high energy, aimed squarely at the dancefloor.
