DJ Sy is UK hardcore DJ Simon Cranny, DJing professionally since 1989, whose residency at Venus in Nottingham from 1990 led to bookings across the Midlands. In 1994 he co-founded Quosh Records with DJ Unknown, recording as Sy & Unknown from their Aldershot studio, and Quosh became one of the leading happy hardcore labels of the mid to late 90s, with the sub-labels Frisky and Tasty Tunes. He played Dreamscape, Helter Skelter, Fantazia, Slammin Vinyl and Hardcore Heaven, is known as the Scratchmaster for his mixing, and was Hardcore Heaven's Hardcore DJ of the Year in 2004 and 2005.
