Doktor
Genres: Jungle, Drum & Bass
Doktor is a Jamaican born vocalist based in the UK whose delivery comes straight out of dancehall but has found a second home over drum and bass tempos. He first reached bass music crowds as the voice on Rudeboy, produced by Sigma, and on International Anthem with Flux Pavilion, while Mad In The Jungle with Friction became a fixture of club sets. His closest creative partnership is with Benny Page on the Dub Shotta label: Top General came first, Trenches grew steadily on streaming playlists and was picked up for an advert in the US, and Street Lights flipped a Tenor Saw vocal sample into a modern jungle record. The pair perform together, with Doktor voicing live over Benny Page's selections, and have announced a joint album. He has since joined the Hospital Records roster, releasing Why You Waiting? and Love, a collaboration with Qyor produced by Sudley and [IVY]. He also hosts a show on Rinse FM.
Doktor has 2 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
