Born Joshua Jackson on 14 June 1991 in Exeter, Grafix fell in love with drum and bass after discovering Pendulum, Logistics, and High Contrast as a teenager. He began DJing around England and releasing early solo work on independent labels Pristine Recordings and Allsorts before a chance meeting with Frederick Vahrman at Bath Spa University, where both studied music technology, led to the formation of Fred V & Grafix -- one of the most celebrated duos in liquid drum and bass history. Signed to Hospital Records, the pair released three albums -- Recognise (2014), Oxygen (2016), and Cinematic Party Music (2017) -- that defined an era of uplifting, vocal-led drum and bass. Tracks like "Forest Fires" featuring Etherwood became anthems for a generation of ravers. When the duo amicably split in December 2018, Grafix embarked on a solo career that allowed him to explore new creative directions while retaining the emotional depth and melodic sophistication that made his name. Now based in Bristol, Grafix has carved out a distinctive solo identity, blending emotive melodies with intricate drum patterns and powerful basslines. His continued presence on Hospital Records and packed-out festival appearances confirm his status as one of the genres premier talents -- an artist who can fill a dancefloor while tugging at heartstrings, a rare combination that keeps fans coming back.
