IC3
Genres: Jungle, Drum & Bass
West London has been home base for IC3 since he first made his name around 1994, when pirate station Transition 1 carried his voice across the city and led to bookings at raves like Roast, Jungle Fever, Desert Storm and A.W.O.L. He was rapping from the age of eight and lists old school hip hop and 1980s pop among his influences. Through the following decade he held residencies at Movement at Bar Rumba, Ram Records nights at The End, Slammin' Vinyl and One Nation, and he was also heard on Kool FM. A long running partnership with Mampi Swift is his best known pairing, and he has shared Fabriclive hosting duties with Skibadee and Harry Shotta. Drama school training shows in the way he works a stage: he is a crowd host first, clear on the mic and good humoured, and DJ Mag once called him perhaps the friendliest MC in the scene.
IC3 has 5 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
