Jungle Cakes
Genres: Jungle, Drum & Bass
Jungle Cakes is a label and club brand rather than a single DJ. Deekline and Ed Solo launched it in 2009 as a sister to their Hot Cakes label, and it grew into one of the main homes for modern ragga jungle: rolling breaks and heavy bass under reggae and dancehall vocals, including a cleared version of Dawn Penn's No No No. The catalogue includes music from or with Navigator, General Levy, Serial Killaz, Benny Page, Aries, Chopstick Dubplate and the Ragga Twins, alongside the Welcome To The Jungle compilation series. When Jungle Cakes appears on a bill it usually means a takeover led by Deekline and Ed Solo with label artists alongside, and the crew has taken the format to Vancouver and Calgary as well as around the UK.
Jungle Cakes has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
