Kelvin 373
Genres: Jungle, Rollers, Drum & Bass
Raised by parents on the travelling and free party circuit, Kelvin 373 grew up on rave tapes, reggae records and 1990s festival fields long before he played out himself. His first club night was Legends of the Dark Black in Plymouth in 2002. Years of free parties across the UK and Europe followed, plus a spell in Granada running a monthly dubstep and drum and bass night, before he settled back in Bristol in 2010. In 2013 he and Aries started Born On Road, a label that leans on ragga jungle and vocals and has made a habit of breaking newer producers such as AC13, Gray and Ben Snow. Rinse FM's Uncle Dugs dubbed him leader of the new school junglists, and his own productions include Dubplate Massive with Aries, featuring Navigator, alongside studio work with Selecta J-Man. Bookings have grown from underground raves to Motion, Printworks and The Warehouse Project, with a regular slot on Boomtown's Hidden Woods stage. He describes himself simply as a junglist, so his sets favour chopped breaks and ragga vocals over modern rollers.
Kelvin 373 has 8 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
