LSB is one of the most consistent producers in deep, soulful drum and bass, working in the space where liquid meets something considerably more introspective. His tracks favour space and restraint, built on rolling drums and chord work that leaves room to breathe rather than filling every bar. Much of his best known work has come through his long standing partnership with vocalist and MC DRS, a collaboration that has produced some of the most emotionally direct records in the modern genre. He has released through the labels that define this end of the sound, including Soul:r, The North Quarter and Metalheadz. As a DJ he is known for sets that build patiently rather than trading on drops, and he is a regular at the club nights and festivals that cater to the deeper side of drum and bass. LSB represents the genre at its most musically serious.
