Long before jungle existed, MC Moose was on the mic at London blues parties in the 1980s with Emotions Sound System, playing reggae, lovers rock and rare groove, then on pirate stations including Time Radio, WLR and Traffic Jam, and at Notting Hill Carnival. A first trip to an acid house rave in 1988 changed direction for him, and through the hardcore and jungle years he was booked at nights such as Roast, Jungle Fever, Biology, Stush and Unit 4, sharing line ups with Fabio and LTJ Bukem among many others. From the mid 1990s he was closely tied to Jungle Mania, recording sets alongside Randall and Andy C, and he was still recording with Randall in 2023. Schooled in sound system culture rather than double time jump-up chatting, he is one of the UK's longest serving MCs and a natural fit for jungle, old skool and classics events.
