Nia Archives is the artist most responsible for jungle's return to the cultural mainstream. Raised in Bradford and Leeds before moving south, she writes, produces, sings and DJs, building tracks from chopped amen breaks and her own vocals in a way that feels both deeply respectful of the mid 1990s and completely contemporary. Her early EPs Headz Gone West and Forbidden Feelingz established the sound, and her debut album Silence Is Loud in 2024 confirmed her as a songwriter as much as a producer, pulling in britpop and indie influences without diluting the breakbeats. She has been recognised with MOBO and industry awards and has taken jungle to festival stages that had never programmed it. She also runs her own label and club night, building a scene around the sound rather than simply releasing into it. Nia Archives is the clearest evidence that jungle is a living genre rather than a heritage one.
