Dan Gresham has been part of the Hospital Records roster since the early 2000s, building a catalogue that draws openly on jazz, funk and soul. His production is characterised by live instrumentation, real horns and strings, and arrangements that owe as much to songwriting as to club function. Alongside his solo work he records as Nu:Logic with his brother Matt, better known as Logistics, a project that pushes even further into musicality and has produced some of the most ambitious material in the Hospital catalogue. He is a long standing part of the Hospitality live and touring family, and his sets balance the label's melodic side with genuine dancefloor pressure. Nu:Tone is a reminder that drum and bass grew out of a tradition of musicians as much as of ravers.
