Plastician
Plastician is Chris Reed from Thornton Heath in Croydon, a DJ and producer counted among the pioneers of both grime and dubstep and often credited as the first to bridge them. Originally billed as Plasticman, he started out on UK garage around 2000, working with MCs Tricks and Spellz in the Fearless Crew, before pirate radio, a FWD>> following and a 2004 residency at Plastic People. He joined Rinse FM that year and has kept a weekly show there since, with a spell on BBC Radio 1 along the way. His label Terrorhythm Recordings, founded in 2002, put out early records by Joker and Om Unit, and his 2007 album Beg To Differ includes Intensive Snare with Skepta. In later years his Wavepool mixes became a touchstone for wave music. Expect grime instrumentals, dubstep and heavier bass rather than drum and bass.
Plastician has 1 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
