Serum is one of the most respected producers in the rolling, jungle informed end of drum and bass, a veteran whose work bridges the sound's foundations and its modern dancefloor incarnation. Through his Philly Blunt label he has kept a distinctly old school sensibility alive, built on chopped breaks, weighty sub bass and a deep knowledge of the genre's history. He is best known to a wider audience as one third of Kings of the Rollers alongside Voltage and Bladerunner, a trio whose Hospital Records output turned the rollers sound into one of the biggest forces on the UK circuit. His solo work has always run in parallel, harder and more rooted in jungle.
