Cameron Edwards and Joe Lenzie met at drum and bass nights while studying at Leeds University in 2006, and Sigma grew out of that shared obsession. Their early records came through DJ Fresh's Breakbeat Kaos, Hospital Records and their own Life Recordings, and they picked up Best Breakthrough DJs at the Drum & Bass Arena Awards. A move to 3 Beat brought Rudeboy in 2013, then two UK number one singles in 2014, Nobody To Love and Changing with Paloma Faith, followed by Glitterball with Ella Henderson and Find Me with Birdy. The albums Life, Hope and London Sound came next, and in 2025 they set up the independent Day Ones label to release Day One, a deliberate swing back to the underground with jungle and bass music in the mix. Club dates see the pair dropping their vocal crossover anthems in among harder floor focused drum and bass.
