Slipz
Genres: Jump-Up, Drum & Bass
Nottingham's Slipz is the DJ and producer at the centre of Basslayerz, the trio he completes with MCs Spyda and Blu Bomma, so most of the time he is heard with two voices working over the top of his mix. The music underneath is jump-up with a ragga edge, and his reputation rests on quick, technical blending that hops between sub-styles instead of riding one lane all night, a skill that has drawn co-signs from Nicky Blackmarket and Andy C. He is tied to Low Down Deep Recordings, has put out music through Subway Soundz, and promotes events as well as playing them. Basslayerz have taken that format abroad, including a recorded set at DnB Allstars Mallorca, while at home Slipz is a familiar name on the free-entry and day-party circuit across the South West as well as on Midlands and London club bills.
Slipz has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
