Sparkz is a Manchester-born MC and lyricist and one of the seven MCs in LEVELZ, the collective FACT described in 2015 as producing an urban poet in the line of Shaun Ryder and John Cooper Clarke. He started writing and producing at 15, won the MCR Superstars competition in 2009, and has also been part of Voodoo Black with Dubbul O, Ellis Meade and DJ Cutterz and worked with The Mouse Outfit. His drum and bass link came as featured vocalist on Sustance's Take The Risk, a techy roller on Shogun Audio in 2024, and he is long associated with Manchester's Hit & Run night. Not to be confused with a Manchester garage and house DJ of the same name.
