Sub Zero

Sub Zero

Genres: Jump-Up, Drum & Bass

Before he was billed under his own name, Sub Zero made up half of G Dub alongside Original Sin, a jump-up partnership whose cuts Back in Business and Tink Ya Bad came out through DJ Hype and Pascal's Playaz Recordings. He went solo in 2009 and stayed close to the Playaz camp, appearing on its festival stages and recording a FABRICLIVE x Playaz mix in 2015. In recent years his records have moved across Crucast, Dope Ammo and Low Down Deep: Side Quest in 2025 was framed as a deliberate return to jump-up basics, You Had It has been through several remix packages on Dope Ammo, and he has collaborated with Gino on Champion and with Burntboi on Bring the Ruckus. The production style is gritty and bass-first, with punchy drums built for a room rather than headphones. On the decks he keeps to that lane, and the G Dub pairing with Original Sin still resurfaces for occasional b2b sets.

Sub Zero has 9 upcoming drum & bass event(s) listed on DNBRAVE.
