Jungle Cakes NYE - Reading - Sub 89
Thursday, 31 December 2026 · Sub 89, Reading
Midnight arrives an hour after the doors open at Sub89, so the Jungle Cakes New Year's Eve party in Reading counts the year out early and then keeps going until 4am. Serial Killaz, whose remix work runs from Congo Natty to Damian Marley, and Benny Page of Dub Shotta give the bill its weight, alongside label founders Deekline and Ed Solo, who have been setting reggae and dancehall vocals over rolling breaks on the imprint since 2009. Kivi, who manages the brand, and DJ Nay complete the named lineup, MC Sye hosts and further guests are still to be announced. The Friar Street venue is better known for gigs and comedy, holds somewhere around 550 to 600 and sits a few minutes from the station. Early bird tickets start at £10.
