Bryan Gee headlines this Boxing Day jungle session in Wolverhampton, and few selectors carry as much history into a room. He learned his craft on the Challenger reggae sound in Cheltenham, held down Brixton pirates Quest FM and Passion alongside Jumpin Jack Frost, and in 1993 the pair launched V Recordings, the label that took Roni Size, Krust and DJ Die out of Bristol. His sets lean on rolling breaks and the soulful side of the V and Philly Blunt catalogues. The Jungle Jam takes over Bank de Léon on Lichfield Street, a listed Edwardian former bank better known locally for its Caribbean kitchen. Doors 9pm, last entry 2am, 18+, from £10.
