Drum & Bass Events in Liverpool

10 upcoming drum and bass events and raves in Liverpool.

Liverpool's club reputation was made by Cream, which ran weekly at Nation in Wolstenholme Square until 2002, but that was a trance and house story. Drum and bass grew alongside it on a smaller scale: Kaiju began in 1994 as an unnamed promotion run by local friends who found almost nothing in the city catering for jungle, and it still puts on drum and bass, jungle, neurofunk and liquid across the North West. These days the action clusters in the Baltic Triangle, the old warehouse district just south of the city centre, where cheap rents drew studios, breweries and independent venues. 24 Kitchen Street, founded in 2011 by a group of friends as a creative community space, is a bare brick room of about 400 whose bass weight reviewers rate highly. Hangar 34 on Greenland Street is the larger warehouse for touring names, and the Arts Club on Seel Street sits a short walk north. Night buses run along Parliament Street, close to Kitchen Street.
