Brixton Jamm

261 Brixton Road, London, SW9 6LH

Built as an 18th century coaching inn and later known as Ye Olde White Horse, the building at 261 Brixton Road sits nearer Stockwell than Brixton's centre, and both tubes are close. Brixton Jamm relaunched in 2016 with the UK's first in-house Martin Audio MLA Compact install, the rig family used on Glastonbury's Pyramid Stage. There are four spaces: a live room of around 400 with a stage, a bar of about 200 with its own booth and system, an outdoor courtyard for roughly 300, and the Beach, a sand-floored room under a retractable roof. Massive Attack and an early Adele have played. Jungle is the strongest thread now. Jungle Splash throws free raves, and Jungle Cakes brings ragga jungle heavyweights such as General Levy, Benny Page and Serial Killaz. Disco and funk crews like Touch Of Funk fill other weekends, and the Logic day parties are a fixture. Reviewers praise the sound in every room, working air conditioning, polite security and the courtyard. Free nights are capped by capacity, so arrive near doors.

Brixton Jamm has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
