Electric Bristol

15 Nelson Street, Bristol, BS1 2JY

Nelson Street's biggest club has traded under plenty of names over the decades, including Top Rank, The Works, Papillons, Syndicate and SWX, and now runs as Electric Bristol under the Electric Group, which bought the building in 2017. A deliberate fire in July 2021 shut it days before a planned reopening; after repairs it returned, and a 2024 relaunch brought the new name and upgraded lighting and sound. The main room holds around a thousand, with a balcony and raised side platforms that give a clear view over the floor. Most nights run as two shows, an early gig wrapping up around ten followed by an 18+ club night into the small hours. Drum and bass dates here tend to be large headline affairs, such as Serum's Gaff and Culture Shock, a producer whose first release came out on Moving Shadow in 2004. There is a cloakroom, so coats are not a problem.

Electric Bristol has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
