Fire & Ice took over three joined-up shop units at 7 Cambrian Road in late 2024 and turned them into a bar and arcade with four separate rooms: a main bar for live sport and music, an arcade with augmented-reality darts, a tiki bar and a smaller indie or unplugged room. Most of the calendar is daytime themed parties, sports screenings and weekend DJs, so bass music is the exception here rather than the rule. When it does happen it tends to be a heavier night, such as Night of the Living Dubs with Dreadnaught, or the Delta HardDance Christmas party with SO/SH and Pontin. At launch the venue stayed open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays. Reviewers agree that it copes well with a big crowd and that bar service stays quick even when it is busy, and Newport railway station is only a couple of minutes away.
