A disused textile mill in Cheetham Hill, a walk north of Manchester Victoria, has housed Hidden since 2015. Downtex Mill gives the club several distinct spaces, among them a basement room, the Blue Room, a hangar space and a large courtyard, and Skiddle puts capacity at about 650. It made the DJ Mag Top 100 Clubs list in 2017 and marked its tenth birthday with Gilles Peterson and DJ EZ. House, techno and disco are the backbone, with Teletech, Hit + Run, Ghosts Of Garage and Homo Electric among the regular promoters, so treat this as a mixed electronic club rather than a drum and bass specialist. When jungle does come through it tends to be the deep end: extended Tim Reaper sets, Lens on tour and Neffa-T, plus Rinse FM link-ups leaning towards UK garage. Nights usually run on Fridays and Saturdays until 4am or 5am, but last entry is normally around midnight to half past, so a late arrival can leave you outside. Over-18s only.
