Joshua Brooks
106 Princess Street, Manchester, M1 6NG
Joshua Brooks has been part of Princess Street since 1993, a street level bar over a bare brick basement club under low arches, and the room where The Chemical Brothers held their first residency. JBM Music and Events took it on during the pandemic and reopened it in 2021 after a refit of around 200,000 pounds that moved the DJ booth onto a central riser, and the basement was fully refurbished again in 2026. The sound is Void Acoustics, Air Motion tops over two Stasys XV2 double 18 inch subs, and reviewers consistently rate both the system and the bookings. Drum and bass is a regular part of an underground policy that also takes in house, techno, garage and grime, with Metalheadz nights featuring Goldie, Photek and Benny L and a Dispatch Recordings 25th anniversary among recent dates. The basement gets busy and hot, so dress light, and use the upstairs bar to meet up first.
Joshua Brooks has 2 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
