LAB11
Trent St, Digbeth , Birmingham, B5 5NL
What began in 2012 as the restoration of a single Digbeth warehouse has grown into LAB11, a complex of five internal spaces, a rooftop terrace and an outdoor area sheltered by the Victorian railway viaducts on Trent Street. The hire spec covers up to 1,410 across its three main spaces, and Skiddle voted it Best Club Venue in 2019. New Street is a ten minute walk away. The calendar is weighted towards house, tech house and garage, leaving drum and bass as a regular guest rather than the resident sound, and DNB Collective is the promoter that most often brings it here, sometimes alongside CruCast. Feedback on the building is blunt: the toilets and general upkeep are criticised, and on hot sold out nights the rooms become sweltering and water costs bar prices. Security, by contrast, is usually described as polite, though searches and the queue can take a long time on big events. Treat it as a raw warehouse, and do not assume the rooftop or terrace will stay open until close.
LAB11 has 3 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
