Off Eugene Street in St Jude's, east Bristol, the yard of an old sawmill has been turned into one of the city's largest independent open-air party sites: seven warehouses and outdoor spaces enclosed by the 200-year-old stone walls of a former tannery. The people behind The Jam Jar and The Underground began programming it in spring 2026, knowing the land is earmarked for housing, which gives every event a slightly borrowed-time feel. Big days spread across as many as six areas, inside and out, and the old cutting room, still hung with the mill's beams and pipes, is the space regulars rave about. Bass music has found a home here, from The Ritual's Halloween party with NoocH, Kara and OKO to Hamdi's takeover with Flava D and Dismantle. Multiple bars and food traders keep waits short, but much of the site is open to the sky, so dress for the weather.
