The Steel Yard

13-16 Allhallows Ln, London, EC4R 3UE

Three restored Victorian railway arches under Cannon Street station make up The Steel Yard, on Allhallows Lane a few steps from the Thames. The arches opened as a bar in former club premises in 2000, traded as Loose Cannon from around 2012 and took the Steel Yard name by 2019. Used together they hold up to about 1,000 standing, with an upper gallery and its own bar overlooking the main floor. Bass Face runs the most regular drum and bass here, with a 360 degree layout, D&B in one room and house, garage and techno in the other, and free early-entry tickets for the first arrivals. Elevate and other promoters bring bigger bills. Be aware the diary is broad: R&B day parties, battle rap, football screenings and corporate hire all use the space. Reviewers agree the system is loud and clear and that the arches get very hot. Long queues at the door and the bar on big nights, and high drink prices, come up repeatedly. Cannon Street and Mansion House are the nearest stations.

The Steel Yard has 4 upcoming drum & bass event(s) on DNBRAVE.
