Under the railway arches on Livery Street, a minute's walk from Snow Hill station, Tunnel Club grew out of Subway City, the Birmingham club of the 1990s that used the same brick vaults. Today it holds around 1,500 across several arched rooms, each with its own sound system, so one ticket often covers a techno room and a jungle or drum and bass room side by side. There is no single house music policy: promoters bring their own nights, with Duck DnB, Birmingham Techno and the long running House Of God among the regulars, and jungle crews such as Jungle Gathering and Jungle Mania taking the arches for bigger dates. Entry is 18+ with photo ID, and last entry is usually around 1am even when the music carries on until 5am or later. The cloakroom now takes card payments.
