Warehouse 34 stands in Hoults Yard on Walker Road, Byker, and now trades as Tapyard: an open-plan hall of brick walls and exposed timber roof trusses that holds up to around 500 standing. The building has served as a pottery works and as a garage for servicing heavy goods vehicles, and it was once home to Shindig's warehouse parties. These days it doubles as a hire space for weddings and birthdays, with its own bar and a built-in PA, while promoters use it for ticketed club nights. Big Fat Rave runs its Warehouse Sessions here, mixing hardcore, jungle, drum and bass, acid house and garage with a free party spirit, and the organisers say the Halloween edition sells out every year. Blackout also stages under-18 parties in the hall. There is paid parking on site and free on-street parking nearby.
