BLOOM - FREE RAVE - D'n'B, Jungle, UK Garage, 140
Friday, 4 September 2026 · World Headquarters, Newcastle Upon Tyne
Starts 23:00 · Ends 04:00 · Doors 23:00 · 18+ · Free entry
BLOOM is World Headquarters' recurring free rave for Newcastle's own bass DJs, and this Friday 4 September edition keeps the format: drum and bass, jungle, UK garage and 140 from 11pm until 4am with no touring headliner, just the local names the night exists to platform. Entry is free if you sign up before midnight and £5 after, so the sensible move is to register and be through the door early. World HQ has run as an independent, deliberately mixed club since 1993 and now occupies Curtis Mayfield House on Carliol Square, two floors with a Void system on each that reviewers say sounds far bigger than the space suggests. It is compact and gets tightly packed, there is no sign outside, and a passport or UK driving licence is the safe bet for ID.
Genres: Drum & Bass
Venue: World Headquarters
