Free entry, 18+, and a Sunday slot on 20 September place this at the tail of Bristol's freshers weekend rather than the start of it. Lakota has run as a club in a converted brewery off Stokes Croft since 1989, and its jungle and drum and bass history is a good part of why the city sounds the way it does. No lineup has been announced, so the draw is the building itself and a room of people who arrived in Bristol days earlier. The enclosed courtyard is where most of the crowd cools off between sets, and it fills up fast. Doors are at 22:00 and the venue stops admitting new arrivals at midnight.
