This is a first generation bill rather than a modern one. Doc Scott, who founded 31 Records, and Digital, who runs Function Records, between them cover the darker and more dub rooted end of the sound as it took shape in the mid nineties; Digital learned his craft on his father's sound system in Ipswich before making records for Metalheadz, Timeless and Exit. Broken Minds bring their tour to Shrewsbury to join Perception, the town's longest running drum and bass night, with DJ Escape and Phase2 completing the lineup. The Buttermarket is spread over three levels, so there is a raised seated tier and a balcony above the floor when the front gets heavy, and a car park sits next door. From £12, 18+, last entry 01:30.
