Thursday nights at The Volks Nightclub belong to Sabotage, a free drum and bass session that hands its decks to up and coming DJs rather than booked headliners, and no names have been posted for 22 October. The Brighton club takes its name from the Volk's Electric Railway that runs past its door on Madeira Drive, and before becoming a club the building traded as the Chain Pier Bar and then the Volks Tavern. Entry costs nothing and is for over 18s only, with doors at 11pm and no admission after 2.30am. A free night in a room this compact can be at capacity well before midnight, so arriving late is a gamble.
