Pure Jungle is exactly what Suburbia and the Codename: AMEN crew are promising, with Bladerunner taking the headline slot for a set of amen breaks, classics and anthems. Devan Gray grew up in East Anglia, the son of reggae artist and Radio 1 DJ The Man Ezeke, and taught himself to produce by rebuilding mid 90s jungle records from raw samples before Ray Keith signed him to Dread Recordings in 2004. Codename: AMEN residents and guests fill out the bill around him. It is an early one by club standards, with doors at 8pm, last entry at 10pm and a 2am finish, and tickets from £8. Suburbia itself occupies the old Onslow, for years Southampton's main blues pub.
