Before Gorilla, the arches beneath Oxford Road station were home to the Green Room arts centre, which ran there from 1987 until 2011; the bar and club opened in its place in 2012. Bass Face sets its decks in the centre of the room for these 360 degree drum and bass nights, so the crowd surrounds the DJ instead of facing a stage, and the venue's own hire figures put that room at 550 to 600 standing. The Manchester residency is promising its biggest headliners yet plus special guests, although none had been named when this was checked. Tickets are free while the last batch lasts; Gorilla has no box office, so anything sold on the door costs more. Doors open at 11pm, last entry is 2am, and club nights here are 18+.
