Contrary Motion D&B: Charli Brix, Gifta, Ekstatic + more
Saturday, 17 October 2026 · 440 Venue, Leicester
Ninety minutes is a long stretch for a back to back, and that is what GIFTA and Ekstatic have been given here. GIFTA, a London DJ and producer who founded Phase Records DNB, blends rolling drums with a minimal jump-up edge and has released on DeVice and Trust Audio. Charli Brix headlines with a vocal set rather than a DJ slot; her toplines have come out on Hospital, Shogun Audio and Critical, among them Point Precision and Low Light Protocol with QZB. Contrary Motion D&B fills out the night with Birmingham liquid producer Teknical, who runs Sub Wavelength Recordings, and Leicester regular False Relation. Heavy Red Sound brings its own rig to 440 Venue, the old brewery on Friday Street in Leicester, where doors open at 10pm, last entry is 1am, it is 18+ and tickets start at £5.
