Phonox has been judged on its sound more than anything else since it took over the old Plan B site on Brixton Road, and that reputation put it into DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs in 2019. Insomnia London uses the room for a Thursday that moves between house and techno, breaks and jungle, with the tempo lifting as the hours go on. The club holds around 450, small enough that the back of the floor still gets the low end properly. Regulars flag the cloakroom queue at closing as the one recurring gripe, so travelling light helps.
