Move is a basement club on Exeter's Quay with a 200 capacity floor and a Funktion-One system tuned by the manufacturer, which is the sort of low ceilinged room ragga jungle was built for. Local promoter Long Dark Tunnel hands it to Jungle Cakes, the label Deekline and Ed Solo founded in 2009 to put reggae and dancehall vocals back over rolling breaks, and both founders play. Nicky Blackmarket tops the bill, the DJ who built the breakbeat section at Blackmarket Records in Soho and whose Kool FM sets with Stevie Hyper D set the template for jungle radio. G-Class, a regular on Jungle Cakes and DnB Allstars, fills out the lineup. Doors at 9pm, 18 plus, from £10.
